How about taking the stairs rather than the lift? Walking over to a colleague rather than sending an email? If you live in an area where the corner grocery store is within a mile of where you live, how about walking there?
Possibly you judge that it’s so far away you must drive to it. There must be a time when you can conveniently park the car not too far away from that store and walk the rest of the way. Then increase the distance walked, progressively. You get the idea.
And speaking of time, you possibly have an incredibly crowded schedule we know. You can’t see possibly how anybody in your position could realistically fit anything else in.
One way you can handle that is to just keep a diary of what you do in a day. Not necessarily how long you spend doing these things, just what you do.
If you’re anything like the rest of us, you’ll see for instance meetings with people you didn’t strictly have to meet. Guys who called whose time with you you could have limited without too much offence given. And so on.
Try it. It’ll be a relief when you ditch or limit the access to you of a few of the ‘time thieves.’
Here’s another weight loss secret that’s too obvious for words. And as easy diet plans go, in a sense they don’t get any easier: drink water. Now there’s no technical mumbo jumbo following this about flushing out anything from anywhere.
You may have heard before, and again it’s true that we tend to drink too little water. Often when we reach for food, that can be to do with the fact that many foods naturally carry a lot of water, especially fruit and vegetables.
Going back in time the body thinks in terms of: water-food. Water and food as a one-two. So there seems to be that ‘blind association’ of drinking and eating.
